In connection with the Ambedkar Jayanti programme, the NPS Youth Club and Progressive Youth Club, affiliated with NYKS MY BHARAT, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports successfully organized an awareness rally titled “Ambedkar Padyatra” in Rajouri.
The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 150 volunteers from both youth clubs and engagement of hundreds of local natives.
It commenced from Panja Chowk and culminated at Salani Bridge Ambedkar Park. Throughout the march, participants raised slogans and actively engaged with pedestrians, spreading awareness about the life, ideals, and contributions of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
During the program, State Level Resource Person (NYKS,, MY Bharat) Vikrant Sharma addressed the gathering and sensitized the volunteers and public about the key highlights of Dr. Ambedkar’s life and his enduring legacy. He also led the participants in taking a pledge to uphold the values of equality, justice, and social harmony.
Kanav Badyal, social worker and advisor of clubs also spoke on the occasion.
He highlighted the relevance of Dr. Ambedkar’s teachings in today’s era and emphasized the responsibility of the youth in carrying forward his vision for an inclusive and progressive society.
The event concluded with the volunteers paying homage to Dr. Ambedkar by garlanding his statue at Ambedkar Park near Salani Bridge, marking a respectful and meaningful end to the padyatra.
The initiative reflected a strong commitment by the youth towards promoting social awareness and honoring the legacy of one of India’s greatest leaders.
