In compliance with the directions issued by the Chief Education Officer Rajouri, Mohd Hafiz a Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) was successfully conducted across all schools of District Rajouri on Monday.
The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from parents, students, and teaching staff, reflecting a strong commitment towards strengthening the parent-teacher partnership and enhancing students’ academic performance. Schools across the district ensured maximum attendance of students and active involvement of parents, with special efforts made to reach out to parents of weak and irregular students.
During the PTM, teachers shared the academic performance of each student in detail, highlighting strengths, identifying areas needing improvement, and suggesting remedial measures to ensure better outcomes.
Parents appreciated the personalized interaction and expressed satisfaction over the transparent sharing of academic progress.
A key highlight of the programme was the Drug Awareness Campaign, organized alongside the PTM.
Awareness sessions were conducted to educate both students and parents about the harmful effects of drug abuse on health, education, and future careers. Important topics such as early signs of addiction, the role of parents in prevention, legal implications under the NDPS Act, and the importance of timely reporting were comprehensively covered.
In several schools, resource persons were invited to address the gathering, making the sessions more impactful and informative. Success stories of de-addiction and the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle were also shared to with participants.
Schools also displayed banners and posters promoting drug awareness at prominent locations, creating a strong visual message against substance abuse.
The Chief Education Officer Rajouri Mohd Hafiz appreciated the collective efforts of the teaching fraternity for the successful organising of the Mega PTM and emphasized that such initiatives play a crucial role in academic monitoring as well as social awareness among students and parents.
