An awareness programme on the Peace Education Programme of the Prem Rawat Foundation was organized at the Skill Lab of Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital Poonch, on Thursday.
A team from New Delhi, comprising Mrs. Poonam Sherwat, Dr. Avinasha Sharma, and other members of the foundation, conducted the interactive session aimed at promoting personal wellbeing, self-awareness, and inner peace among healthcare professionals.
The programme was attended by Chief Medical Officer Poonch, Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan, Medical Superintendent District Hospital Poonch, Dr. Mohd Shafeeq, consultants, medical officers, and paramedical staff.
During the session, the resource persons elaborated on the key principles of the Peace Education Programme, focusing on ten core themes including peace, appreciation, inner strength, self-awareness, clarity, understanding, dignity, choice, hope, and contentment.
They emphasized the importance of recognizing inner resources, making positive life choices, valuing oneself and others, and maintaining hope and contentment despite challenges.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan appreciated the efforts of the Prem Rawat Foundation for conducting the programme and highlighted the significance of peace and self-awareness in the healthcare profession.
He urged healthcare workers to incorporate these principles into their daily lives to enhance personal wellbeing and provide compassionate and effective patient care.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from healthcare staff and concluded with an interactive discussion on the practical application of the programme's teachings in professional and personal life.
